It's hard to believe that we're in the last quarter of the year.  Welcome to fall!
 
This issue of Keeping in Touch focuses on helping you 'get the most from your Sage MAS 90 / 200 investment'.  We'll give you a few ideas on how you can make MAS work for you!

How can you apply this to how you use your Sage MAS 90 / 200 system? 
How Can You Make Sage MAS 90 / 200 Your Newest Employee?
Is there a report that you run every morning, at the end of the week, or once a month?  Wouldn't it be nice if you arrived at work in the morning, and the report was waiting for you in your email?  This is possible.
 
Do you need to be told when you receive a payment from a customer who's on hold?  Wouldn't it be nice for you to simply get an email so you wouldn't have to ask the person who opens the mail to let you know so you could take the customer's order off hold?  This is possible.
 
Do you need to run a report to tell you that your top selling inventory items are reaching their re-order point?  Do you forget to run the report?  Wouldn't it be nice for you to get a daily email of all items that are below their reorder point?  This is possible.
 
Every week, it's your job to review the receivables over 60 days.  The report takes 30 minutes to run.  Wouldn't it be nice to have this report ready for you at the printer when you get into the office?  This is possible.
 
Every week, do you have to prepare a sales analysis for the president that compares the sales for this week/month/year compared to last year?  Does the report take a long time to run?  Wouldn't it be nice if the report was already generated when you walk into the office in the morning?  This is possible.

Service Updates

Each quarter, Sage releases updates to correct software issues raised by customers and partners.  It is important to keep current with these updates.  Updates are made available to all customers on a current maintenance plan with Sage.  If you have third party enhancements, be sure to check that these updates are compatible with your enhancements.

At the end of September, the v4.30 service update included a program fix to correct a problem with the Paperless Office module faxing to a local phone number.  One of our customers was the first to discover this problem and when we reported it to Sage, the issue was originally scheduled for a fix in v4.4.  After applying pressure to the Sage product development team, the fix was released early.
 
If you have upgraded to v4.3 and were not able to fax your documents, this update should help you!
