Orinda Chamber of Commerce and Hospice East Bay Tree LightingAt Orinda Village Square (by Bank of America). This "always enjoyed" holiday season event will feature OIS and Orinda elementary school choral performances and Santa's arrival on an Orinda Fire Department fire truck. Bring your kids and your cameras - it's an annual event not to be missed.

Support EFO and Company C BalletGive the gift of art this holiday season. The Educational Foundation of Orinda is partnering with Company C Contemporary Ballet to offer tickets to select performances of the 10th Anniversary Season Winter Program. For every full priced benefit ticket sold to an EFO supporter, Company C Contemporary Ballet will donate $10 of the ticket price to EFO. Benefit tickets are priced at $45 for orchestra seating and are available for the following Winter Program performances: Walnut Creek: Lesher Center for the Arts, January 20 & 21 San Francisco: the Novellus Theater at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, February 17 & 19 Benefit ticket buyers must use the code "ENRICH" when ordering tickets to ensure their discount and support for every full priced benefit ticket sold. Please Support the Orinda Arts Council ~ We Need Your HelpThe Orinda Arts Council has evolved over the last 60 years with the support of people who value the presence of art in our schools and community. We now need your help to ensure that the visual and performing arts continue to thrive in Orinda. As you consider your year-end giving, please include The Orinda Arts Council on your list for a tax-deductible donation. In addition to managing the monthly exhibits at the Orinda Library Art Gallery and partnering with community visual and performing arts groups, your financial support enables us to support school arts education by providing visual arts and after-school performing arts programs, including: - 1st & 2nd Grade Art Books and 3rd Grade Sketchbooks
- Performing arts grants to Orinda's elementary schools spring musicals, Orinda Intermediate School Bulldog Theater Co., and to Miramonte High School.
- Awards sponsorship of the Lamorinda Unified Film Festival (LAUFF)
- Organize and fund the annual Visual Arts Competition for Lamorinda high school students
- Organize and fund the annual Orinda Idol Competition for Lamorinda K-12 students
- Organize and facilitate the annual OUSD Arts Ambassadors Exhibit & Reception in the Orinda Library Art Gallery
The funding for all these programs and contributions past and present comes from members, supporters, and merchants in our community. Please remember The Orinda Arts Council in your year-end giving.
