Don't Miss the 8th Annual High School Visual Arts Competition!
Check out the 2011 winners and the terrific collection of work from our talented young Lamorinda art students at the Orinda Library Art Gallery. Nearly 150 works are on display and exhibit closes on March 30. Winners were announced at the Artist & Winners Reception on Mar 9 and are listed on the OAC website. The annual VAC is sponsored and produced by The Orinda Arts Council and co-sponsors this year include EFO, LPIE (formerly LASF), MEF, and Lamorinda Patch.
Key Dates: Exhibit Run - Mar. 2-30 Art Pick-Up - Mar. 31, 3:00-5:00pm
Still Seeking ONE OAC 2011 High School Visual Arts Competition Chair Volunteer for Just ONE Afternoon! We need a Gallery Removal & Pick-Up Manager March 31st from 12-5pm to oversee the NCL Volunteers to account for art removal and pick up. Contact OAC President, Susan Garell.

5th Annual Lamorinda Acalanes Union Film Festival At Campolindo Performing Arts Center ~Sponsored by The Orinda Arts Council. Roughly 20 short student films will be screened, each written, directed, and produced by students from Campolindo, Miramonte, Acalanes or JM Intermediate schools. Awards will given in 10 categories, with additional sponsorship from The Orinda Arts Council to be awarded to the Winning Director of the Best in Show film to attend a High School Summer Program in Video Production. According to Campo film arts teacher Justin Seligman: "The festival showcases the talent of our community's students: as actors, as screenwriters, as cinematographers, and as digital artists. It gives them a forum to tell their own stories, in their own voices"
