7th Annual High School Visual Arts Competition a Huge Success
A record number of exceptional entries and enthusiastic reception attendees made this year's effort one of the best in recent memory. A new "Best in Show" award based on viewer participation helped generate excitement and support for the exhibited artists with about 250 text messages pouring in to register a vote. Over 200 people attended the reception itself on March 10. A fabulous range of over 200 pieces of original art, from sculptures to paintings to photographs were on display the entire month of March at the Orinda Library Art Gallery. Kudos to the VAC Chair, CC Klevan, and her dedicated team for a phenomenal show!

New Partnership with Pacific Chamber Symphony Raises Funds While Making Beautiful Music
Two dozen patrons enjoyed an intimate concert at the beautiful home of Petra Michel, complete with sumptuous gourmet food, dazzling wines donated by Vintage Berkeley and of course, sublime performances by the PCS trio featuring Maestro Lawrence Kohl on clarinet, virtuoso violinist Victor Romasevich and pianist Lena Lubotsky. Over $900 was raised for each organization. Special thanks to our gracious hostess, Petra, and our VP of "Fun"draising, Gwen McNeilus. Brava!
