Greetings from Aubin Pictures!
Here's an update about
"What's On Your Plate?"
- a documentary about kids and food politics.
The project has really kicked into gear over the past few months.
We have already amassed 49 hours of footage.
Sadie and Safiyah are amazingly smart and funny and curious!
Last week, we finished cutting a ten-minute trailer with editor Marty Levenstein.
We recently filmed a playground discussion with Scot Nakagawa about high cholesterol
and enjoyed a day long visit to the Carrot Barn in Schoharie New York,
where carrots are grown for the NYC public schools.
We have upcoming shoots with Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer,
various food activists, and farmers at the markets.
The best news is that on Friday the
Lower Manhattan Cultural Council
selected the film for a 2008 Production Grant.
Please let us know if you would like a copy of the trailer
and if you have any suggestions for potential funders.
You can visit our revamped website
(which we are constantly updating) for more information -

We have been thrilled with the material we're getting
and we look forward to sharing it with you.
Happy Spring to you all!
