Haiti
It was a great day this past Sunday to relive the missional summer that was part of the life of New Work Fellowship.
It was a great day to have my friends, Chris and Sheryl Brumley in our services.
It was a great day to view the videos that retold a portion of the good work that took place over the summer of 2012.
Missions always get my spiritual juices flowing.
I guess it is the going, the sharing, the ministering, the "doing" something for Christ and his Kingdom.
Missions make a difference. They set people free!
Whether you saw the video or not on Sunday, it would be worth the six minutes it takes for to listen to this testimony again:

From Voodoo To Victory - The Testimony of Wesley Altime |
Isn't it amazing to hear what God can do to set people free? Did you hear the comment, very early in his testimony when he said, "my grandmother told me about Jesus!"
That's what it always requires...someone to tell someone about Jesus.
In Romans 10, Paul writes the following:
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.
11As the Scriptures tell us, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced." 12 Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him.13 For "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? 15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, "How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!"
Missions. It is not about Haiti. It is all about here and now. It is about your feet. It is about your voice. It is about your willingness to let the Lord use you to tell someone else about Jesus.
Would you pray today that God will lay on your heart the name of someone who needs to hear about Jesus from you?
And then would you pray about telling them about Him?
