New Work Fellowship
Pastors' Prayer Partners

June 8, 2012

Greetings!

RU CRAZY afterglow

During this week following the RU CRAZY halfway celebration, I wanted us all to focus our prayers on this vital part of the vision of New Work Fellowship. Will you pray with focus toward the vision that God gave us as a church?

Vision is good. But vision is never enough. Vision must be met with resolve and a commitment to do the work. Vision must be fueled.

As I end this week of prayer focused on RU CRAZY, I want to ask you to pray for the "fuel" that will make the vision go. There are two kinds of fuel needed: faithfulness in prayer and giving.

Would you resolve to continue to pray for the components of RU CRAZY?

  • Wells
  • Media and Marketing
  • Western Kentucky Sportsmen
  • The Playground
  • The Parking lot
  • The Church Debt

Would you pray that as we continue to work toward these aspects of our church's vision (a vision that is missional, attractional, and responsible), that we would remember that the vision will only go as far as our personal and collective commitment to giving?

Would you pray about your giving to RU CRAZY and the regular ongoing support of the church?

Would you pray for the newly announced RU CRAZY component of relocating our offices to the church campus? When we do this, it really will be very much like "We are coming home and are open for business!" There is so much more we can do in the course of the week, as our church team is on site. Would you pray that God would continue to guide our leadership team as they (we) strive to follow the Lord's leading one step at a time?

  • I am so grateful for a leadership team that understands that we can make our plans, but we also need to be very careful to follow the Lord's leading.
  • I am grateful for a leadership team that sees the need to be flexible and knows how to adapt when new challenges arise.

Would you pray for the church leadership team? As the church collectively gives toward the vision, our elders and pastors work as one team, seeking God's leadership and direction through the unity of the team. We feel very deeply the need to be faithful stewards of all that God entrusts us with.

Will you pray for the the current-year elders?

  • Pray for Kevin Clayton, elder.
  • Pray for Danny Frances, elder.
  • Pray for Marc Namie, elder.
  • Pray for Carl Rogers, elder.

Would you pray for the New Work Fellowship pastors?

  • Pray for Paul Goodman, Worship Pastor.
  • Pray for Janey Pitts, Youth Pastor and Interim Children's Pastor.
  • Pray for Willis Adkins, Pastor of Media and Missions.
  • Pray for Cory Pitts, Associate Pastor.
  • Pray for Kevin Lee, Lead Pastor.

We all covet your prayers as we partner with you in this work.

And now would you pray for yourself and for your family? Specifically would you continue to pray that you would be faithful with all that God has entrusted you with, that you would have a Kingdom Impact in this world?

Together, as we commit ourselves to pursuing-to-the-finish this vision God birthed in our hearts, the vision will be more than a nice idea. It will become a new reality. Pray for the fuel that moves the vision forward!
