RU CRAZY afterglow

During this week following the RU CRAZY halfway celebration, I wanted us all to focus our prayers on this vital part of the vision of New Work Fellowship. Will you pray with focus toward the vision that God gave us as a church?

Today I want to ask you to focus your prayers on the nation of Haiti. So many of you have been there. Our next mission team is leaving on June 22nd. Would you make Haiti a focus of your prayers as that team prepares to leave?

• Pray for the team members as they are preparing to go. Pray that God will stir their hearts as their anticipation grows with the approach of the departure date. Pray that they will be "prayed up" and that their hearts would be purified through the confession of sin. Pray that the team would be so filled with the presence and person of Jesus Christ, that while they are in Haiti Jesus would be exalted by their very presence.
   
• Would you pray for the six wells that New Work Fellowship has installed in Haiti, bringing fresh water to parched lives? Pray that the needs of those individuals and families would be met. Pray for the missionaries in the area that they will clearly communicate that the physical water is symbolic of the spiritual water, which is their greatest need. Pray that God will move in the hearts of the community so that when the Jesus Film is shown, people would respond and come to faith.
   
• Pray for the missionary team in Haiti that is led by David and Judy Heady and Chris and Sheryl Brumley. Pray that God would safeguard their health. Pray that God will open doors through which they present the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray for them through the summer months as team after team from all across the States come to work and serve in Haiti.
   
• Pray especially for Chris and Sheryl Brumley as they are already making plans to be at New Work Fellowship this August. God has given Chris a vision of reaching the nation of Haiti through sports ministry. The youth of Haiti are the dominant population of that nation. They love soccer! Once Samaritan's Purse finished using the Global Outreach compound (in the earthquake relief effort), the entire compound is going to shift toward a brand new sports ministry outreach. Would you pray for this growing vision and the needs that are before them? What will be our part in this new venture in Haiti?

God has called New Work Fellowship to have a global footprint. And the first stop is just off the coast of Florida. Would you pray that our vision would grow? Would you pray that our financial commitment would grow? Would you pray that God would make you more and more "CRAZY" (in the best sense of the word) for the ministry of sharing Jesus in the nation of Haiti.
