Slow.
In other words, wait.
No.
No explanation needed, right? No means no.
But those are not the most troubling answers to your prayers. Sometimes God says slow. Sometimes God says no. But sometimes God says ...
GO!
Are you ready? God places upon our hearts various concerns and passions. It is not an accident. If God is stirring you to pray for a situation in your life, in your family, in this world, He is often the very one who is stirring up the troubled waters in your heart to do something about it.
- To have that tough conversation
- To give that incredible gift
- To step up and serve in that self-sacrificing way
- To do something to end the cycle of suffering
Why do you think you feel that way? Do you think God might just have something to do with it? Are you ready to "go"?
See, when we pray and we feel deeply and passionately about something and then "nothing happens"-then we also need to be looking deeply within ourselves.
These words jumped off the page of the prayer book I've been reading: "We need to see the work He want to do in us, before He does a work through us."
Am I ready to go? Are you ready to go? What needs to happen in you before God works through you?
Get on with that inside work. After all, someone "out there" is waiting on you to GO, so God will do a work through you, for them.
Ready? Set! Go!
By the way, a great "go" moment is today at New Work Fellowship! There is an EGGstravaganza at the church at noon-1:30. It is a great time, and we have a plan in place so that every person who attends will walk through our newly renovated children's wing and the playground. See we had to do some "inside" work before we could do the "going" work that God has for us.
Surely there is someone who you could "go" to and bring to today's event.
Ready? Set! Go!
