January 2010
Welcome to the first newsletter of 2010. In this issue, we highlight the tremendous success of the Europe-wide announcement of the first hospital to specify antimicrobial copper door handles throughout, introduce the new supplier directory and offer you an RSS news feed so you can stay updated between newsletters.
First Hospital Adopts Copper Technology
St Francis, Mullingar
Antimicrobial copper door handle at St Francis
An Irish hospital has been the first in the world to embrace the latest science and specify antimicrobial copper door handles throughout in a bid to reduce healthcare associated infections. The clear message from the press release - that copper provides the best possible solid protection to patients - has been carried throughout Europe, appearing in newspapers such as The Irish Independent, The Daily Express and the Sunday Tribune, on Irish radio, in UK trade press such as Healthcare Equipment & Supplies and online on English and foreign-language websites.
Antimicrobial Copper Supplier Directory Goes Live
pull-handle Materials, Products and Services Listing
The supplier directory is a resource for anyone looking to specify antimicrobial copper materials, or search for related products and services. With all this information together in one place for the first time, it is our hope that specifiers will find it easier and quicker to locate the right product or service for them.
We are always looking to add new items to this listing, so if you see an opportunity for your company to appear, please let us know by filling out the product questionnaire.

We would also be pleased to add any exciting news your company has to offer on antimicrobial copper. Please email all such information to Bryony Samuel.
