Greetings!  Another dream come true! We are extremely proud to announce that we are beginning a violin program at our North Canal location in Thibodaux! We are every excited about the opportunities this provides for students and adults in the area. Read on to learn about our instructor and how to get started. |

Introducing Charles Brenner |
Charles ( Chuck ), Brenner is a product of the Park Ridge, Il. School System which sponsored grade school interaction with Chicago Symphony members. At age 7, Chuck selected the violin and quickly moved up in chairs(positions) in the Lincoln Jr. High School Orchestra, and became Concert Master. At Main South High School he was Concert Master for three years, and received the National School Orchestra Award. At his senior recital, he played the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in e minor.
During summer programs, he played with the Chicago Youth Symphony & attended the University of Kansas Summer Orchestra program where he served as principal violinist of the Concert Orchestra. Also a skilled vocalist, Chuck sang the lead roles in several musicals, including the role of Lt. Cable in "South Pacific."
Jordan College of Music at Butler University (Indianapolis, IN) awarded Chuck a full scholarship. His instructor was the world famous violinist Eddy Brown, a practice student of Jascha Heifetz.
Since then, Chuck has given many recitals. He has many years of free lance experience and in helping youth symphonies.
Chuck and his wife Pam have 3 children and live in Labadievile, LA. Chuch enjoys playing ensemble music with friends and with his son Nathan, who is a skilled bassoonist and a product of NOCCA. He keeps his days filled with teaching Bible Instruction and music in the Thibodaux area.

Our violin program is open to any children or adults in the area. Lessons will take place at our North Canal facility, located at 142e Laura Drive in Thibodaux beginning June 1st. The cost is $25 per lesson. To register for the program, contact Nancy Toups at 985.447.5994 or ntoups@elearningk12.com, or contact Charles Brenner at 985.526.0801. If you do not have a violin, Charles can assist you in choosing the correct size violin.
This is truly a dream come true for me. I have wanted to offer a violin program since eLearningK12 began, and now the dream is reality. My dream is that everyone who wants to learn to play the violin will have that opportunity. What a privilege to be a part of that!
