Our caregivers are totally committed, highly qualified and carefully selected individuals who are personally and thoroughly screened, bonded and insured. Most are Certified Nurse Assistants or Home Health Aides.

Most importantly our caregivers are dependable and extraordinarily caring of others. In addition to their previous experience, our caregivers receive continuous training that includes dementia, hospice care, home safety, nutrition and other topics related to seniors. These highly qualified and trained caregivers are ready to help you and your loved ones with a variety of daily activities such as:
  • Personal care
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Transportation to doctor appointments and other errands
  • Caring companionship
  • Light housekeeping
  • Medication reminders
  • Information and referral services
Our personalized, nurse-supervised services are available 7 days a week and can range from a few hours a day to 24 hour and live in care.

LeafA note from the Always There team

We are unveiling here our new look! We hope you like it. As Regina tells the story, "we wanted our logo to convey as much as possible of what Always There is about - shelter, strength, family - being there."  We look forward to continuing to build our company and extending our reach, and we take this opportunity to thank all of you for being part of our growth.
Seniors & Driving... Tips & Tactics
by Regina McNamara

Older adults are the fastest growing segment of the US population. The number of older (over 75) drivers is increasing in number, and so is the number of miles they drive each year. Older adults rely on automobile transportation due to the isolation in the suburbs without access to convenient mass transportation. Also, driving represents independence, the ability to participate in community activities, and the opportunity to stay connected to others more generally.

BUT:
Older drivers are much more likely to cause, be severely injured in, or die in auto accidents due to overall fragility, medication or chronic disease. Despite the threat of danger, the number of drivers 65 and older continues to increase at a significantly higher rate than other groups.

Medicare LogoMedicare Managed Care Plans:
Buyer Beware!

While most of us in the health care field are watching the activity of our representatives in Washington as they attempt to create a health care plan that meets all the needs of everyone needing health care in this country, there is one thing that many agree upon: Medicare is a good program.

Since its enactment in 1965, this comprehensive program has covered all the medical needs of seniors and has obviously expanded considerably in the past few decades due to the increasing number of Americans in this age group as well as advances in medicine.

Facilities & Agencies We Love

We are privileged to have received referrals from, and be able to coordinate care with, many Assisted Living facilities and rehab facilities. Our growth is in large part due to the trust the staff in these organizations have put in our staff and our agency more generally. Likewise, we trust in these facilities and their staffs, and we are committed to referring them on a regular basis
