Lightfoot's Pine Soap
If you're concerned about the health of your body on the inside, you should be just as concerned with the outside.  Lightfoot's Pine Soap is known for its natural qualities, a hard milled soap made right here in Rhode Island by one of the oldest soap makers in the country.  It's unique, light, fresh scent will remind you of a pine grove in the breeze.  You'll see how people fall in love with it, as it will last without dissolving in your soap dish and leave your skin feeling fresh and soft.

'Prepping' for Spring

Kenyon's Grist Mill Tour Series
Preparations are well under way for Kenyon's tours and events this spring and summer.  Join us as we kick off our season!

On the last weekend of May, enjoy the re-birth of our mill store at
our open house.  The store will feature a full line of Kenyon's products, along with a variety of cooking related crafts and goods, with a special emphasis on local talent.

We have been very successful this fall and winter at scheduling many new people to visit the mill.  Our attendance at the National Tour Association and American Bus Association conferences will bring tourists across America from the motor coach industry.  Kenyon's, once again will be highlighted in "Tour Rhode Island/There's No Place Like Home" in early May, which will grant our neighbors from Rhode Island the opportunity to tour their own state, just as 32 million visitors enjoy it annually.

Our website continues to improve with a new links page
as well as a media room with articles written about us, videos, and past newsletters.  Remember to keep those recipes coming!  We would love to feature you and your favorite recipe/s using any of Kenyon's products.  For each recipe we feature, you will receive a complimentary product of your choice.

Calling all Volunteers & Local Artisans!

Looking for something fun and rewarding this spring and summer?  We will be welcoming new volunteers who are especially interested in history and milling.  Join us as we celebrate the oldest manufacturing business in the state.  Be a part of our team, learn techniques to share, enjoy free food, and meet a lot of great people while preserving a Rhode Island icon.

In the next coming months, we will be evaluating new products from local artisans for our website and Mill Store.  If you are a creative person, this is a great opportunity to showcase and market your work!

Do you have any photos or memorabilia of Kenyon's history?  Our collection never stops.  We will be updating our website's photo gallery and archives with the continued mission to share and preserve our stories and legacies.

If you are interested or have any questions, please contact us at

Miller's Tale

Kenyon's Grist Mill Winter WorkBrrr...Our earthen dam held fast against the winter's onslaught, proving to be a good investment for the safety of our visitors and the community.  As Valentine's Day fast approaches, it reminds us about the people and things that are close to our hearts.

We have been hard at work with maintaining the dam, refurbishing the well, replacing the roofs, repainting the mill, and rebuilding the outhouse, along with other extensive site improvements.  Our dedication is not only to our family business, but for the love of the mill and for the enjoyment of all of our visitors.

We've always been fortunate for the extended Kenyon's family.  Along with seeking volunteers for our programs and events, we are also currently asking for help from those who have a shared interest in preserving a landmark of history and tradition.  We are seeking assistance from those knowledgeable of pursuing grants, and we are also asking for private contributions which will help fund our efforts.

Sincerely, Paul Drumm III
