Parents, please join us for a  Welcome Back Breakfast in the Auditorium after drop off.

Here's How to Stay Informed About What's Happening at LJES
  • Be sure to read the "Important Info and Updates" eblast sent each Wednesday morning, as it is the primary way we communicate LJES announcements.
  • Look for our Tidings Newsletter, sent home about once a month with your child. It is full of informative and interesting articles about school-related activities (and great photos too!).
  • Please visit the LJES website at LJES.org. This website is continuously updated with a wide variety of information.
  • Download and browse the LJES Handbook (see info below).
Please Download and Browse the LJES Parent Handbook

What is the LJES Parent Handbook?
  • A guide to the policies and procedures of our school and district
  • A reference for contacting people on the school staff and in parent groups.
  • An important source of information about the wide range of programs, services and events at our school.
Consider saving a copy to your desktop
 for quick reference!

If you purchased your school supplies (Edukits) online last school year, they will be delivered to your child's classroom the 1st day of school.

If you still need to purchase school supplies, please click here for the list by grade level.

New This Year:  Please Supply a Set of  Headphones for Your Child

In order for all children to have headphones that they can comfortably use, and to aide in keeping them sanitary, we felt it important to have each child bring his/her own headphones. These will stay with your child at school and will be returned to you at the end of the year to use next year. Please send them to school by the end of the second week.

What type of headphones?
  • Over-the-ear headphones are ideal.
  • In-ear headphones (used with iPhone/iPod type devices) are also fine.
  • Our computer equipment requires a standard headphone jack of 1/8" (sometimes also called 3mm). This is the smaller of the two currently prevalent jack standards.
If you are unable to purchase headphones, please let your child's teacher know.

Important: Please Read Our Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures

Click here for LJES Drop-Off Procedures

Click here for LJES Pick-Up Procedures

For the safety of all, please read and

follow these procedures.

We need everyone's cooperation,

patience and consideration for a

smooth, safe flow of traffic.

 Thank you!

Have You Completed Your Back to School Paperwork?

If you were unable to  attend a Sign Up day, please see the office ASAP. You will need to review and approve your enrollment card and turn in a recent utility bill as proof of residency.
Click here for additional paperwork, paying special attention to documents listed in the 'Blue Area - Mandatory School and District Requirements'.

Kindergarten Helpers Needed
Can you spare a couple of hours to help in a Kindergarten classroom?

Volunteers are needed in the Kindergarten classrooms the first three weeks of school, until the regular parent volunteer schedule begins.

Please select one of two time periods: 9-11 a.m. or 11-1 p.m. and consider working the same time each week. It's a great way to give back to the school, while helping the newest and youngest members of our school community!

Please click here to sign up. - Thank you!
