State Agencies Undergo Sunset Review Process - Railroad Commission of Texas
Over the past few weeks, I have been outlining Texas' sunset review process. The agencies I have covered so far are the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners, Texas Lottery Commission and the Correctional Managed Health Care Committee. As a reminder, in order to identify and eliminate government waste, duplication and general inefficiencies in state agencies, the Texas Legislature established the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission (Commission) in 1977. What Matters to District 32

" With the current state of the economy across the country, what matters to me in District 32 and the entire Coastal Bend Area, for that matter, is that we seek new sources of revenue rather than increasing taxes or raising things like utility rates. I am thankful that Representative Todd Hunter has the vision to seek out and work hard to attract new revenue sources like Schlitterbahn, the cruise ship industry, and the latest in film technology just to name a few. This is what helps the economy in Texas to be as healthy as it is when the future."
