What Matters To District 32:
Ridge Hammons: "What matters to me is that all students be given the best chance to find a job they love. ... We must not let our students lose track of their future, and treat school as something to be endured rather than the gift it is. We do this by offering them as many opportunities as possible to sample as many potential futures as we can, by as many means as we can devise. ... College-bound students are no more valued than those who want to enter the skilled trades, or the military, or law enforcement, or any of a number of other futures. What matters to me is that each student thinks they matter as much as anyone else, and that they have just as much chance to grab the brass ring. "
