Looking back on 2010 we witnessed unprecedented change. The passage of National Health Care Reform will provide more benefits to more people and with it will come increases in health benefit plan cost. On a positive note; new health insurance products representing true advancements in the area of Cost Transparency are beginning to make an impact. Advancements in transparency coupled with the continued acceptance of wellness programs represent our best hope to favorably impact long term cost increases.
2010 demonstrated that what happens in Massachusetts from a health care perspective is certainly relevant on a national level. We need not look any further than the 3/25/10 passage of H.R. 4872 "The Health Care Education Affordability Act". Much of H.R. 4872 mirrored major components of Massachusetts Health Reform legislation passed back in 2006.

2011 - A Healthy New Year!

As we wrap up 2010 and look to 2011, many employees will be anxious to set healthy New Year's resolutions.
