| Young@Heart Returns
After a sold out performance in Hyannis last fall, the inspiring chorus, Young@Heart, will be coming back for another benefit concert for Cape Abilities in October.
We'll provide updates through this e newsletter as soon as more details are available.

| Teams Line Up For 5k
Teams are already signing up for Cape Abilities 5k Walk/Run that will be held this May 15 in Hyannis. Team Eric, led by Eric Ill is already registered. Last year Team Eric was the top fundraising team.
If you and your friends enjoy walking or running this is a must do event. We follow an easy, flat course beginning at the Hyannis Village Green.
The 5k is open to walkers and runners of all abilities. Register on your own, or form a team. It's a fun event for everyone.

| Soon it will be Spring...
Although it's still cold and snowy, the work is underway to get ready for planting season at our farm. If you want to see what these fields look like on a sunny May day, click here.
There are a few spaces available in our Salad Club subscription membership at our farm stand in Dennis. If you're interested in getting fresh vegetables every week, the Salad Club runs from June 1 - September 30th. To learn more and sign on, email Shanda Hiller at shiller@CapeAbilities.org Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Art Classes at Eastham Sumi-E and pottery classes are being featured now at Cape Abilities Arts Center in Eastham. The classes, which are taught by professional artists from the Cape Cod Art Association, include a program for pottery beginners who are "Curious About Clay?"

Consignment & Thrift Shop Even though this winter's cold probably has you thinking you need more (and thicker) clothes, it's time to start going through your closets for items you want to consign or donate. Cape Abilities Consignment & Thrift Shop on Route 6A in Barnstable Village opens for the season on March 22, but we begin accepting consignments and donations March 1.

| Cape Abilities and "Doing Good"
The Stafford Foundation has continued their work with Cape Abilities. On January 20th, Executive Director Larry Thayer attended the launch in Washington of their nationwide "Doing Good" campaign with Bill Cosby.
Cape Abilities was featured in their videos. As a gift from The Stafford Foundation, each guest took home a pie from Centerville Pie Company. To read more about the foundation and the "Doing Good" program, click here.
