The warm temperatures continue to work their magic at the farm. According to our farm manager, Jim Knieriem, the tomatoes and sweet corn are "terrific, wonderful, the best". Everyone is asking for them, and the great news is that we have a good supply of both.
Don't forget our tasty eggplant, green peppers and English cucumbers. We also have fresh picked blueberries from Hingham. Perfect with cream, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
The sunflowers have bloomed - you can pick your own - for $1 per stem. It's a great activity for kids - and everyone else.
The farm stand is open every day (except Monday) from 10 AM to 5 PM. |
Fresh Native Sweet Corn at the Farm Stand
"And pray what more can a reasonable man desire, in peaceful times, in ordinary noons, than a sufficient number of ears of green sweet corn boiled, with the addition of salt?" Henry David Thoreau, Walden, 1854
Not much has changed since 1854.
The famous sweet corn from Cervelli Farm in Rochester, Mass continues to fly off the shelves at our farm stand. The sweet corn is picked (very) early in the morning and delivered fresh to our farm. Sweet corn is $6.75 a dozen or 65 cents per ear. Come early for best selection.

Many thanks to Brad Tracy and the entire staff at Tracy Volkswagen for sponsoring the Bee Mobile this season.
We've already been at farmer's markets, parades, Heritage Plantation, the Barnstable County Fair and the Greek Festival at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Centerville.
The Bee Mobile has been visiting beaches and Main Steets around the Cape. Lots of bees and tomato plants and farm patches have been adopted - and we have given out hundreds of maps and farm brochures.
The Bee Mobile has been invited to upcoming parties, dances, golf tournaments and other events.
It's a busy Bee Mobile!
If you would like the Bee Mobile to visit your business or attend an event, email us at farm@CapeAbilities.org |
