St. Patrick's Day Facts
Did U Know?
- Green is associated with St. Patrick's Day because it is the color of spring, Ireland and the shamrock.
- Leprechauns are also associated with St. Patrick's Day, although the only reason they are is because they're Irish. Leprechauns are usually mean little creatures - with the exception of the Lucky Charms guy.
- People give Saint Patrick credit for chasing all the snakes out of Ireland. The truth is that snakes are not indigenous to Ireland.
- The first St. Patrick's Day parade didn't take place in Ireland, but actually in New York City on March 17, 1762.

Lora has lived in Bradenton since 1975. She is married with three adult children and four grandchildren with one more on the way.
She graduated from Sarasota School of Massage Therapy in 2007 then joined the SpaRenity family in September of 2008 and has enjoyed every minute. Lora loves to help our clients be pro-active in living a more healthy lifestyle. Different modalities that Lora practices at SpaRenity are Traditional Swedish Relaxation, Pre and Post Natal, for pain relief Deep Tissue, Reflexology, and Headache Massage. Try Acupuncture if you really want to feel better!!!
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine are extremely successful in the treatment of a multitude of conditions. Many people try Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as a "last resort" to serious and complex medical problems and find that it can help them when other treatments could not.

"I woke up one morning with an incredible pain in my side, fearing the worst, I went to my family doctor who sent me for tests. That evening the pain became unbearable and I went to the emergency room.
After six hours of misery at the hospital, all that the doctor could do to help was to prescribe pain medicine.
That was just not acceptable to me, I wanted the pain gone not covered up.
The next day Dr. Dowe said that we needed to do acupuncture.
After the first session I felt better, then we did the same treatment the next day and my pain was practically eliviated.
I will make sure that acupuncture is my first option to wellness in the future."

Massage for Cancer Patients
Tracey Nickens, LMT has just completed a course in
Compassionate Touch for Clients Living with Cancer.
She is now certified to do
Oncology Massage, this allows her to give massages to patients during and after surgery or treatment. Instead of what was previously thought, massage does not spread cancer, it helps to reduce anxiety and depression, supports the immune system, relieves pain, and promotes sleep. Massage is helpful to caregivers as well.
Massage is becoming more widely used by the medical community, especially in the oncology field.
