SpaRenity creates MCC Nursing Scholarship

Manatee Community College nursing students Kasey Spivey and Jennifer Righter were recently presented with the Barbara Jagielo Nursing Scholarship.
The Barbara Jagielo Scholarship was established with a donation from Doug and Nancy Dowe, owners of SpaRenity, A Day Spa and Wellness Center in Bradenton.
The Dowes established the scholarship in the name of Jagielo, a long-time client of SpaRenity and volunteer with MCC's Nursing program.
Jagielo, a retired R.N. and Nurse Educator, enjoys working with the students at MCC. "Barbara is special and she inspired us to inspire others," said the Dowes.
The Foundation for Manatee Community College provides a vehicle through which individuals, organizations and corporations support the community's largest institution of higher education.
In addition to awarding annual student scholarships, the Foundation also assists the college with gifts of opportunity including classroom instructional equipment, library resources, endowed faculty chairs and other cooperative partnerships that permit MCC to expand programs to serve "high need" areas of the community.

Mother Nature For Moms Makeover Day!
Our Jane Iredale Mineral Makeover Day on May 2nd was a big hit! Nancy Dowe & Jamie Playter, our Jane Iredale representative, offered complementary full makeovers to SpaRenity clients and anyone interested in learning more about mineral makeup. Everyone learned the benefits of Jane Iredale, which is known as the "skin care makeup" because it's actually healthy for your skin. Everyone who received a makeover also received a basket full of spa gifts and exculsive coupons, SpaRenity Spabucks discounts off of their purchases, and a free gift- a Magic Mitt, eye gloss, or lipgloss!

Rowlett Elementary School Reading with Nicole
Last month SpaRenity's office manger, Nicole had the opportunity to visit Rowlett Elementary and read to Mrs. Penman's 1st grade class. Nicole read "Let's B Safe", a special book that helps parents teach vital safety rules that every child must know and follow. After the reading each child recieve their own copy of "Let's B Safe", a special Be Safe Bee and a colorful SpaRenity pen!

March Teacher of the Month!
Nancy and Doug Dowe attended Mrs Harris' classes pizza party with representatives from country radio station, 106.5 CTQ and Suanne from Tropicana Credit Union and awarded her a spa gift basket and SpaRenity gift certificate for a Serenity Package!
