Perfecting the Portrait

Beginning to Intermediate

Tuesdays, Jan 18 - Feb 8 (1-3pm)

Tuition: $95 ($85.50)

Inst: Colleen Sterling

 

This open media class will start with an overview of the fundamentals of facial anatomy and capturing likeness, then move on to achieving artistic expression thereby giving "life" to the subject.

Watercolors in Dry Brush

Beginning to Intermediate

Tuesdays, Jan 11 - 25 (6 - 8pm)

Tuition: $85 ($76.50)

Inst: Alan Young

Watercolors in dry brush is a unique painting technique similar to acrylic painting, except that it maintains its transparency due to the watercolor medium.  This technique is relatively dry, but still holds water-based paint. Students will be able to choose their own project while learning this fascinating, watercolor technique!



Painting the Flowers of Winter

Beginning to Intermediate

Fridays, Feb 4 - 25 (1-3:30pm)

Tuition: $95 ($85.50)

Working from floral and still life settings, participants will create colorful compositions in th painting mediums of their choice (acrylics, oils, pastels or watercolors).



Putting LIFE in still Life

Beginning to Intermediate

Tuesdays, Mar 15 - Apr 5 (1-3:30pm)

Tuition: $95 ($85.50)

Inst: Colleen Sterling

 

Working from various still life settings, participants will learn how to compose in dynamic ways and hw to get the best results from the medium of their choice (acrylics, oils, pastels or watercolors).
