Support Impartial Courts: Contact Your Legislator; Hearing Thursday
The Citizens League, along with our partners in the Coalition for Impartial Justice, supports legislation to establish a ballot initiative in November 2010 to improve our system for selecting and electing judges (HF224/SF70). This legislation will be heard in committee this Thursday:
House State and Local Government Operations Reform, Technology and Elections Committee Thursday, March 4, 8:30 a.m. Room 200, State Office Building (marked with the yellow flag on this map) If you support this legislation, please call Committee members and your legislators to let them know. And if you are available on Thursday morning, please attend -- we would like as many supporters in the hearing room as possible. If you do contact your legislators, please let us know: contact Annie Levenson-Falk at alevensonfalk[at]citizensleague.org or 651-293-0575 ext. 16.
