Transportation Policy Advancement
In addition to the coming bus rapid transit (BRT) service that is connected to free-flow pricing of solo drivers and is now under construction on I-35W and Cedar Avenue in the southern metro, two additional parts of the Citizens League transportation policy agenda continue to move forward:
Introducing eWorkPlace: a state-sponsored initiative for Twin Cities area businesses that fosters teleworking.
Join us for an innovative perspective from local business and academic leaders on how to increase productivity, better retain and attract top talent, and improve overall employee satisfaction.
Tuesday, June 28, 8:30 - 11:00 a.m. Humphrey Institute, U of M View the agenda RSVP to Laura Noble (612-626-0564 or lnoble[at]umn.edu)
This event is free and open to the public and is designed to help employers understand the opportunities available and the possible benefits of telework.
Value Capture Study completed: The U of M Center for Transportation Studies has completed its study of value capture, a set of finance tools that could be used to fund transportation facilities in Minnesota based on the principle that beneficiaries of transportation facilities should pay more directly for the benefits they receive.
The Citizens League Policy Advisory Committee will evaluate this work in the coming months to determine which tools are the best options for Minnesota.
