studentFor the past three and a half years, the Citizens League's Minnesota Anniversary Project has been exploring how citizens can be effective co-producers of good policy.

Through a statewide survey and interviews and a series of demonstration projects on issues like education, redistricting, and aging services, we've looked at why both citizens and public officials are too often frustrated by processes for citizen engagement, what encourages people to be involved, and why and how we need to change the way policy decisions are made in order to take advantage of citizen insights and resources.

Join project director Stacy Becker to hear about the lessons we're taking away from the project, and to talk with Citizens League members and staff about how we're applying these lessons to work like our Water Policy Study Committee.
