Today, we're facing huge policy challenges -- but these challenges actually give us a unique opportunity for creativity in policy making. The Citizens League's combination of imagination and pragmatism has been behind some of Minnesota's greatest innovations in the past, and it is what we desperately need today.

Join us on the evening of November 20th as we celebrate our past year and look to the year ahead, and highlight ways for you to get involved in these efforts.

Visit our website for more information, or register now.

It's Easy to Become a Member

The Pohlad Family Foundation has challenged the Citizens League to grow its membership to 2,000 -- when we do, we'll receive a $15,000 grant.

We're almost there - help us reach this goal! Click here to become a member today with a tax-deductible contribution of any amount.

If you are a member, did you know your spouse or roommate can join for free? Contact Catherine Wood at cwood@citizensleague.org to add a second person to your membership.
Volunteer on a Short-Term Policy Group

The Citizens League is seeking members to be a part of policy groups that will reevaluate our historic work in three policy areas:
    • Energy efficiency and CO2 emissions control for Minnesota
    • Charter schools
    • Aging services
For more information or to volunteer, contact Bob DeBoer at bdeboer@citizensleague.org.
    Poverty Policy Project

This fall, the Citizens League hosted three initial conversations with more than 40 participants on how we could best focus our efforts on poverty policy in Minnesota. We're now using what we heard in these conversations to hone our focus for a second round, where we'll seek to involve more people who are directly impacted by the effects of poverty and more institutions that are part of the economic reality of poverty. Read about this work on our policy blog, and check out the upcoming issue of the MN Journal for more details.
Nominate a Candidate for the Citizens League's Initiative of the Year Award
