We need your help: volunteer at our booth or submit a video answering the question: "What does it mean to be a Minnesotan?" Annual Meeting Postponed

For reasons related to current staff capacity, a strong interest on the part of members and staff in focusing on post-election priorities for 2009, and potential pre-election timing conflicts (e.g. debates), we have decided to postpone the Annual Meeting to November. We believe this will help us involve members and community partners in delivering a meeting that meets expectations based on previous annual meetings, helps us set our course for 2009, and reflects what we have learned and accomplished in 2008. We apologize for the delay, hope to have a new date set soon, and will be looking for members to take the lead in some aspects of planning. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
Take the Citizens League Member Survey

Let us know what you think about how we're doing, and share your ideas about how we can do better. The survey only takes around 10-15 minutes and it really helps us out -- click here to respond.
What would it take to make MN an energy leader?

We're working on a series for an upcoming issue of the Minnesota Journal, and we want to hear from you. What do you think Minnesota can and should do to become an energy leader? Post your ideas on the Citizens League Policy Blog. We'll publish some of the responses, in whole or in part, in a fall issue of the MN Journal.

Last Call for 2009 Board Nominations

The Citizens League is taking nominations for service on the board of directors. We encourage you to nominate someone to serve -- even yourself. It's an invaluable way to serve the Citizens League while working with a terrific group of members.

For more information and to submit a nomination, click here.
The deadline for nominations is tomorrow, August 15.
Help the Citizens League Reach 2,000 Members
The Pohlad Family Foundation has challenged the Citizens League to grow its
membership to 2,000 -- when we do, we'll receive a $15,000 matching grant.
We're about 150 members away. Help us reach this goal!
Click here to become a member today with a tax-deductible contribution of any amount.
