REGISTRATION AND CONFERENCE COSTS

THERE IS NO REGISTRATION COST TO ATTEND THIS CONFERENCE. The cost of the conference is generously funded through the Governor's Task Force on Children's Justice (GTF).

This conference WILL fill up quickly, so please send in your registration early. Please do not register, however, unless you are certain you can attend.

For each person who registers and does not attend, another person is denied the opportunity to attend and we must still pay for meals and materials that are unused.

Gail Dines, Professor of Sociology and Women's Studies, is co-editor of the best-selling media textbook, Gender, Race and Class in Media (2nd edition, Sage, 2002). Her articles have appeared in Newsweek, Time, Working Woman, New York Times, Boston Globe, USA Today, and Daily Mail (England). Dr. Dines has also appeared on Donohue, Sally Jesse Raphael, and Entertainment Tonight.

Gail Elizabeth Wyatt, Ph.D., Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, is the author of more than 100 publications, including Stolen Women: Reclaiming Our Sexuality, Taking Back Our Lives. She has had her work profiled in Essence, Ebony, Self, Good Housekeeping, Cosmopolitan, and Vogue.

Joyce Siegel, M.S.W., Program Director for Sexual Assault Services of Calhoun County, currently serves as the Board President for MCADSV, and is adjunct faculty in the Gender and Women's Studies Department and School of Social Work at Western Michigan University.

Joseph Vess, Consulting and Training Coordinator at Men Can Stop Rape (MCSR),  has trained on engaging men as allies, working with survivors of sexual assault, sexual assault and domestic violence, and working with male survivors.
 

The registration deadline for this event is April 18, 2008.

BISC-MI Mission Statement

We will create and maintain coordinated community actions that hold batterers accountable for their behavior and promote victim safety, autonomy and empowerment.
