Greetings!

Parents, what a night! Thank you for the dozens of emails of support and appreciation that have flooded our office. And thank you for allowing us to contribute to your child's educational experience. By cultivating a supportive and intellectual environment in your home, you allowed your child to discover the joy of something like chess.

Psychologist say, these are a child's formative years. This is where they learn and master the core values that must sustain them for the rest of their lives. We appreciate your allowing us to, in some small way, participate in these, your child's wonder years.

This notable event in your child's intellectual development has been memorialized on video for you and your family to enjoy for years to come.  A DVD of the Chess Tutors 2008 Grand Match Gala is now available! Click on the link www.chesstutors.org/pledge.html to order your copy of the hysterical and fun filled highlights, limited copies available.  All proceeds are tax deductible and will go to support expanding our program in communities that need it most.

First through fifth grade GMG Alumni's are invited back next year.  Details on how to reserve your spot, coming soon.  Thanks to your support our program is growing leaps and bounds each year.

Learning & fun go hand an hand!
Though Farragut Elementary emerged from the heat of battle with the Grand Match Gala trophy--all of our students came away winners.  Indeed, you might say our entire Los Angeles Metropolitan community was uplifted by those young competitors, that night.  As they exercised their minds and practiced good sportsmanship, they raised the standards of good citizenship for us all.  By supporting these children in such an educational & worthy endeavor, we teachers, parents and loved ones in attendance were all made better by their efforts.
