May 30th- Drink to Your Health: The Benefits of Juicing

Nutrition is in an important part of your yoga practice, but with the fast-paced lives that many of us lead, it can sometimes be pretty challenging to consume enough servings of fruits and vegetables each day. Making your own juice is an easy and cost-effective habit that can really pay off in the long run, saving you time, keeping your immune system strong and giving you a boost when you need it most.

To juice or to blend? That is the question. Using a juicer to squeeze your produce leaves the fiber out of the mix, allowing the vitamins and minerals to digest more quickly so you reap the benefits sooner, while blending smoothies with the fiber intact may make for a more filling snack or even a meal.  Whatever you choose, these are both wonderful ways to get your recommended daily allowance and keep your energy up, but not feel too full before coming to class!

Check out this article for more on the benefits of juicing and some great recipes.

Want to hear more and get started doing this yourself?

Our neighbors just one door down at Lavender Stone Massage will be hosting a juicing party at 6pm on Thursday, June 7th and you're invited! You'll get to try some delicious beverages made from farm fresh fruits and vegetables provided by Bernards Farm. We look forward to seeing you there!

News Flash!! Summer Intensive Format Changed!
Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 19-July 23rd
6:15-7:15am
Cost: $150, which includes unlimited classes during these 6 weeks

Due to some pending changes in Leslie's schedule and our desire to rally interest for the intensive, we have made some changes. This year instead of our usual 3 - 5 day intensive we are simply going to offer 2 early morning classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The classes will be taught in a vinyasa (flow) style and will be accessible to any student who has some foundational yoga experience and no major injuries. Students should be familiar with the sun salutation sequence. More advanced students will be challenged with fun variations throughout the flowing postures.

Please let us know right away if you are interested in participating! We need at least 10 students to commit to the full 6 weeks in order to run the program. Online registration will be open soon.
