May 23- Get Your Kids Moving with Yoga
|
If you think about it, children and yoga naturally go quite well together. Kids love to move, they are often more uninhibited than adults when it comes to trying new things, and they readily infuse their creative powers of invention and imagination into everything they do. Yoga helps them to build physical strength and self-confidence in a safe, non-competitive atmosphere where they're allowed to be themselves. As a result, they may develop a greater sense of who they are and what they're capable of--important building blocks toward becoming healthy adults.
Curious about the more specific benefits? Check out this blog post from Lisa Flynn, founder of ChildLight Yoga, one of several nationally-recognized yoga programs for youngsters on ways that kids can benefit from yoga.
