Registration for the 2012 Big Sur Marathon opened on July 15 at 7:00 AM....and sold out on July 16 at 9:20 AM, an amazing and record-breaking 26.2 hours later!   Whether due to the exceptionally beautiful course or a growing reputation as a well organized and runner friendly destination event, we are both pleased and proud to welcome our 2013 field of runners.

Although the marathon proved a fast sell-out, we still have plenty of open slots for the Marathon Relay, the 21, 10.6 and 9-Milers, and the 5K.

Other Exciting Half Marathon Updates

2012 marks the 10th Presentation of the Big Sur Half and we have some exciting offerings for our 9,000 half marathon participants.

• In addition to our traditional Michelob Ultra beer at the finish, Anheuser Busch will also be offering Stella Artois and Shock Top Belgian White at the finish. And, if beer is not your thing, we'll be offering chocolate milk as a new item in our post-race refreshments lineup.
• In response to participant's requests, we will be offering a custom-made, downloadable and printable Finisher's Certificate featuring your official time, overall place, gender & division place and overall pace
• All participants will receive a commemorative 10th Presentation poster at packet pick-up, as well as a 10th Presentation cap at the finish as our gift to you 
• Track your runner via our Mobile App for the Half Marathon.  Available for both the iPhone and Android search iTunes or Google Play using "Big Sur Marathon" or "Big Sur Events" 

Other Half Marathon Events

We invite our half marathoners and their friends and family to join us on Saturday, November 17, for the Pacific Grove Lighthouse 5K and the JUST RUN! Just Kids 3K.  Make this your final training run for the half, or just come and cheer on the runners, especially our 3K kids.  A pancake breakfast and post-race activities will follow at Pacific Grove's Jewell Park.  To learn more, click HERE.

Yes, the 26.2-mile Marathon sold out in record time, but there are still entries available via our Charity Partners, a wonderful opportunity to run our event while raising money for some incredible causes!

Runner's World Challenge...from Big Sur to Disney

The Runner's World Challenge at the 2013 Big Sur International   Marathon is now sold out. The editors of Runner's World are excited about returning to Big Sur for the third consecutive year with 300 runners who have "taken the challenge."

Another Challenge event will take place on January 10-13, 2013 with RunDisney for the Marathon, Half-Marathon and Goofy Challenge. There are still a few spots open to join this Challenge which will include customized training plans for all events and VIP treatment on race weekend.  Runners who may have already registered for any of the Disney Marathon events can still upgrade to the Runner's World Challenge and training. MarathonFoto Launches Mobile Version

MarathonFoto has recently launched its newly designed mobile site to serve the needs of its customers on the go. Customers can now place orders using any smart phone device, such as iPhones and Android powered phones. The mobile website features the same digital download products found on the desktop version of the website, but is presented in a more finger-friendly format. The launch of this mobile site allows MarathonFoto to stay true to its mission of providing participants with the best shopping experience online.
