| Greetings!
With a weather system due to arrive at the Monterey Peninsula this weekend, race officials have decided to move the Half Marathon awards ceremony from the Custom House Plaza to the Steinbeck Forum, which is located in the Monterey Conference Center on the 3rd floor. The ceremony will still begin at 10:00 AM.
While we are hopeful that the storm system will be stalled or over by Sunday morning, it is best to be prepared for rainy and windy conditions on race day. Wear warm clothing, particularly at the start, and rain gear if you have it. If not, plastic garbage bags provide protection from the rain and go a long way towards keeping you warm. If you use the bag, be sure to dispose of it at an aid station.
