 The Boston 2 Big Sur Challenge...2 marathons...2 coasts...6 days. Only the fittest (or craziest) ever attempt back-to-back marathons, much less 3,000 miles apart! In 2010 we invite 400 runners to accept the challenge. Perks include a B2B training shirt, an ASICS B2B jacket, a custom bib and finisher's medallion, a special post race tent at the finish, and a ticket to the post-race party. Post-race party...celebrate your accomplishment race evening between 4:30 and 7:30 pm at the Monterey Marriott. Your $20 ticket includes food, one free drink and entertainment. Rub shoulders with Jeff Galloway, Bart Yasso and Dean Karnazes along with the Big Sur Board and staff.

Big Sur Mile Markers...hand crafted by Salinas muralist John Cerney, these unique 7 foot tall mile markers will provide a humorous, motivating and inspirational backdrop along the marathon course. Our goal is to have our runners look forward to each mile during their journey from Big Sur to Carmel. |
