• Last Minute Instructions have been mailed to all registrants and are also available online.  Please read these for important information on busing, packet pick-up, Expo hours and speakers and more.  Come prepared!
   
• If you are unable to pick up your bib, chip and race packet at the Expo, you can designate a friend to do so for you.  Give them a letter of authorization and photocopy of your driver's license  or other photo ID and they can pick up for you.  People who claimed the military discount will need to show their Active Military ID. Remember, except for the 5K, there is NO RACE DAY PICK-UP!
  
  

• Relay Teams, we're extending your member registration deadline until Sunday, April 19th at midnight.  Team captains...if you are running with the team you created don't forget to add yourself as a member!   If you need a member removed, email the team name and name of the person to be removed to sally@bsim.org.  You'll be able to add the replacement member online after that.  Also, be sure to read the Relay Last Minute Instructions available on the homepage at www.bsim.org.  Team captains...don't forget the Relay Team meeting on Saturday, April 25, at either 9:00 AM or 5:00 PM.
  
  

• All pre-registration for open events (5K, 3K and relay members) will end at midnight on April 19th.  After this date we can't make any further changes to your registration until race weekend.  You may register for the 3K at the Expo on Friday, April 24th or race morning.  You may register at the Expo for the 5K on Friday or Saturday, April 24th and 25th.  No 5K race day registration!
  
  

• We're sorry to announce that Dean Karnazes will not be joining us this year as planned.  In his stead, Charlie Engle, of Running the Sahara fame, will fill his speaking spot at the free Expo Clinic at 11:15 AM on Saturday, April 25th.  Running the Sahara will debut at the Steinbeck Forum on Friday evening, April 24th.  To pre-purchase tickets, click here
  
  

• Don't forget that we'll be having the Clif Bar Pace Teams with us to help you reach your marathon goal.  Goal times include finishes of 3:40, 3:50, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, 5:00 and 5:00.  To learn more and join a free team, click HERE.

·     This year we have re-designed the start area and will be implementing a two wave start.  If you plan on running a 3:30 or faster, position yourself in the first wave.  This will be done on the honor system, so unless you really plan on achieving this time, don't get in the first wave.

• There will be a "Race Etiquette" sheet in your goody bag, please read this carefully, particularly if you are a walker.  This year we will be strictly enforcing the rule that walkers walk no more than two abreast after mile 17.  This will ensure a clear path for our marathoners who will be coming up from behind them.  We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
