For the past five years, Danamark WaterCare has been providing prepaid freight service for orders over $1,000.00. However, due to the significant increase in fuel and freight charges the minimum order values will increase to $2,000.00. The change will be implemented in two stages: the minimum value will increase to $1,500.00 by November 15, 2008 and then to $2,000.00 by April 15, 2009.

DanaStats: Water Consumption in Alberta's Oil Sands

Oil Sands
Oil sands is the next oil frontier in Alberta and a promising energy resource for Canada. However, processing oil sands into useful crude oil requires significant quantities of freshwater. Current production practices are straining the Athabasca River system and causing significant ecological impacts to the natural environment.
Technology: Iodine

IodineIodine is a chemical element similar to chlorine and is used as a water disinfectant, especially in cases of emergeny when boiling is not possible. Iodine is available in tablet or liquid form, and few drops are usually sufficient to disinfect water from waterborne pathogens.
