In the HBR Update sent yesterday, the Plan communicated that HBRs should term RIF employees using the reason code "left employment" in eBenefitsNow. However, HBRs should term RIF employees using the "Terminate Employment" button in eBenefitsNow as shown. This sends the left employment (LEM) reason code to Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC.
