Annual Enrollment - Missed Deadline
The State Health Plan Annual Enrollment ended on June 8, 2011 at midnight. We expect that a number of employees will be contacting Customer Service stating they missed the deadline.
The Plan has instructed the Customer Service department to direct members to their HBR.
Beacon Agencies Best Shared Services will provide instructions to their HBRs in a separate e-mail.
eBenefitsNow Agencies Employees are no longer able to enroll online. Therefore, the employees will need to complete a paper Annual Enrollment application and a Tobacco/Body Mass Index (BMI) Attestation Form and submit both to their HBR. Employees are responsible for printing the form, which is available on the State Health Plan website.
The HBR will need to determine whether the employee qualifies for the 80/20 Standard plan based on the employee's completed Tobacco/BMI Attestation Form.
The HBR can then move them to the 80/20 Standard plan via the HR Role and should retain the paper copy of the Tobacco/BMI Attestation Form on file for documentation purposes. HBRs will be able to do this through June 14, at which time this functionality will be removed from the system.
NOTE: This does not mean that the system is opened up for members, just that the HBRs can complete these changes for all members for 5 days.
Paper Agencies When sending your agency's forms into BCBSNC, please keep the Annual Enrollment Form and Attestation Form attached. All paper applications are due to BCBSNC by June 14.
