The State Health Plan's Annual Enrollment will end on June 8. Only 50 percent of our membership has enrolled to date. If members do not make a benefit election by June 8th, they will be in the 70/30 Basic plan effective July 1, 2011. A second enrollment will take place in July for a September 1, 2011, effective date. Enrollment elections made in July will be for September 1, 2011, and will not be retroactive to July 1, 2011. It is important to remind your employees of this date and their need to take action if they wish to enroll in the 80/20 Standard plan for the months of July and August. It is important that you remind your employees to complete their enrollments before June 8, 2011.
Due to the timing, the State Health Plan will be unable to make any enrollment exceptions for members. Below are instructions for identifying members who have not completed an Annual Enrollment election for July 1, 2011.
eBenefitsNow Agencies If you would like to identify members who have not completed an election for Annual Enrollment, you may do so by running the "
Task List" report that can be found in the "Popular" report categories section within the "Reports" tab in eBenefitsNow. In the Report Format section, you can select to run the report in PDF or Excel. In the Filtering Options section, select "Sections to Be Completed (Benefits Not Started)" as shown in the
illustration to identify any members that have a "Benefits Not Started" task for the 2011-2012 SHP Medical offer. You may want to reach out to these members to notify them that they will be enrolled in the 70/30 Plan if they choose not to complete their enrollment during the Annual Enrollment period
*Note: only members who were enrolled in SHP coverage for the 2010-2011 benefit year will be enrolled in the 70/30 Basic plan. Members that were benefits eligible, but chose not to elect benefits for the 2010-2011 plan year will not be enrolled in either plan unless they log in to complete their elections. BEACON Agencies Please run the BI report B0011 to identify the number of employees in your organization who are still enrolled in the 70/30 Plan and ensure they are aware of their election option if they choose to do nothing. If you need assistance running this report please contact BEST at 866-622-3784 or 919-707-0707.
