Benefits for the 2011-2012 benefit year have yet to be determined. Upon benefit finalization, the State Health Plan will mail enrollment kits to members. The Plan will also post information on its website at www.shpnc.org so you will be able to view Plan requirements, as well as benefit summaries, comparisons and premiums.
Please watch for this material in the mail in the coming months.

Health Care Flexible Spending Reminder

Time is running out to submit claims for your Health Care Flexible Spending Account!
Many State Health Plan members are enrolled in the Health Care Flexible Spending Account, where you set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for medical, dental or other health care expenses not reimbursed by your health plan. You have until March 31, 2011, to submit eligible health care expenses incurred during the 2010 plan year.

Allegra® Now Available Over the Counter

There's good news for allergy sufferers this spring! Allegra® (fexofenadine) and Allegra-D® (fexofenadine and pseudoephedrine) in all forms and prescription strengths are now available over the counter (OTC) for use by adults and children. Allegra® joins Claritin® (loratadine), Alavert®(loratadine), and Zyrtec (cetirizine) as an OTC non-sedating antihistamine.
