| Is It Too Late to Get a Flu Shot? |
|
You may be concerned that because your seasonal flu shot worksite clinic is not scheduled until late fall, you may be at greater risk for influenza. You may wonder about the best time for getting your flu shot. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), in most years the number of seasonal flu cases peak in January or February. Getting a flu shot in November or December is not too late. If your worksite clinic is not scheduled until later this fall, or you plan to visit your doctor for a flu shot later in the year, getting a seasonal flu vaccine is still the best measure to protect yourself against the seasonal flu.
