Greetings All,

Can you believe that 2010 is almost over? The snow will be arriving soon and the town of Ouray and the Box Canyon Lodge will be a buzz with ice climbers and skiers! We can't wait to welcome all of the winter sport enthusiasts and those who love nothing more than to come to Ouray for our "winter wonderland" setting.

In this issue we have a calendar of events for the months of November and December as well as the 411 on what restaurants and shops will be open during the Holiday Season!

Our Once a Month Club is also under way as of October 3rd, but it's not too late for you to join if you like. Just give us a call during the month of November for your last chance to sign up this year.

The following restaurants will be open for Thanksgiving:

Bon Ton: Serving a traditional turkey dinner and a few of their menu items as well. Open from 3:00pm-7:00pm (No Reservations after 7:00pm)

Outlaw: Open from 2:00 p.m. - close.

If you plan on staying with us over Thanksgiving please let us know. We can make your dinner reservations in advance to ensure your table is ready for Thanksgiving.

Bon Ton: Open Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Outlaw: Open Christmas Day and New Year's Eve from 5:00 p.m. to close. Closed Christmas Eve and New Year's Day.

If you plan on staying with us over Christmas or New Year's please let us know. We can make your dinner reservations in advance to ensure your table is ready for the holiday feasting.

Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Announces Service to the North Pole Again This Holiday Season

The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad will begin service to the "North Pole" onboard The Polar Express beginning November 19, 2010. The magical story comes to life when the train departs the Durango depot for a one-hour, 15-minute round-trip journey to the "North Pole."

Once onboard the Polar Express, hot cocoa and treats are served and passengers read along with the holiday children's classic book, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg. Santa and his helpers greet the train at the "North Pole," and then board the train, where each child is given the gift of a sleigh bell. Chefs aboard each car lead the passengers in singing Christmas carols on the ride back to Durango.

The journey begins Friday, November 19 and runs through December 28 on selected dates. Exact dates and excursion times are available by calling 970-247-2733 or 888-872-4607, or by visiting our Web site at www.durangotrain.com. Ticket prices for children (ages 2-11) range from $20* - $51* and for adults from $30* - $61* depending on date and class of service. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas for the ride! *All fares subject to 4% Historic Preservation Fee*

The Bon Ton Restaurant has received
the prestigious Award of Excellence
from the Wine Spectator Magazine
for the 20th consecutive year.

To celebrate this achievement, the Bon Ton will offer a complementary glass of house wine with each entree purchased (Bon Ton Dinner for Two not included).

So raise a toast to the Bon Ton (and yourself!) with a delicious glass of wine and enjoy a great meal.
