Spring has SprungLast week the headlines in our local newspaper were "253 Inches: Snowiest winter in 60 years of records". Just to be clear, that is more than 21 feet of snow. I am happy to report that we are finally in late April. We have only had two storms this month, one was 30 inches and the other was a mere 12 inches. We are finally seeing the grass again and the daffodils are blooming nicely and luckily, deer do not like them so the beautiful yellow flowers dot the hillside. The grass is greening quickly except where we still have some snow berms, but those too are nicely melting. We began painting the exterior and have also started some exterior maintenance around the building so that on your next visit, you find things ship shape. We hope that we will see you soon! Warm regards, Karen & Rich Avery

Calling All Artists -- Young and Young at Heart
In June, Weehawken Creative Arts will offer a dance and theater camp. For two weeks, kids work during the day, learning acting and dance, and then, it culminates in two performances to be held at the historic Wright Opera House on July 2 and July 3. If you have young ones (ages 5 - 14) with interest in theater and dance, it would be a great way to enjoy part of the summer. For more information, see the Weehawken Creative Arts Website.
In addition to the performance camps, they have an incredible lineup this summer for adult learning too. Check out their calendar. May brings such unique classes like "Egg Shell Sculpting and Engraving". |

Love Notes Sure to Please
The Ouray County Performing Arts Guild is sponsoring several performances in the next couple of weeks. First, on Friday Night, April 23rd, 7:00pm at the Ouray School, the Central City Opera performs a "Love Notes". This performance reflects on the ups, the downs, the all around magic of love from
operas and music theater by Mozart, Puccini, Stephen Sondheim, Irving
Berlin and others. Tickets are $15/person and will be available at the door. We are delighted to have them in Ouray!
On Friday, May 30th, OCPAG sponsors "Arts Beat in Ouray". It is a three course progressive dinner, which means you move from place to place, each time enjoying art, great food and drink at each location. OCPAGs website explains the complete evenings program. Be sure to search for "Arts Beat."
