March is here!  Winter is nearly over and it is time for some fun in the sun.  Today, I was walking and when the sun was shining it was warm and brilliant.  The mountains are breathtaking, so white and beautiful.

Get out and enjoy the beautiful scenery, the fresh air and the nice relaxing pace of Ouray.  It will be time for spring cleaning and planting before you know it!  (We dropped off our outdoor planters today.  On June 1, we will have some beautiful geraniums so I know it is just around the corner.)

Employee Corner

AnaAna works in the housekeeping department. She can do anything and is very loyal and dependable. She has worked here for over eight years.  Ana is married and has six children.  Her oldest is 20 and attends college at the Auraria Campus in Denver.  Her youngest is 12 and goes to school in Montrose.

Ana loves to cook for her family and loves to spend time with her husband and children.  They enjoy going to Denver to shop and visit with their son.

Ana is a delight to be around and always has a smile on her face.  Next time you are here, say "Hi" to Ana.
Music by Feast

Music by FeastThe Ouray County Performing Arts Guild is sponsoring a great Celtic concert on March 14th at the Wright Opera House.  Feast, just back from a recent European Tour, is comprised of musicians from Grand Junction and California.  It is an unique instrumental Celtic band featuring a cello, a fiddle, drums and a keyboard that is not to be missed.

Tickets are $15/person and will be available at the door.  Ourayale House, Ouray's new brewery, will be serving the latest ales before the show.

The Backstreet Bagel & Deli on Main Street has an open mic / jam session every other Sunday from 3pm to 7pm.  Bring your instruments and take your turn performing with others.  In March, the open mic Sundays are on the 8th & the 22th.  See ya there!!!!!
