The mornings are nice and crisp yet the days are still warm and sunny.  Many hiking trails and jeep trails are still open yet the town is a bit more relaxed.   Most shops remain open, albeit somewhat fewer hours.

 

Rich & I are getting into the groove and we are looking forward to the change of seasons and hope that you will have a chance to come to Ouray for a visit.  Getting to know all the guests who frequent the lodge has been a real pleasure.

 

We began making some improvements around the lodge & hope you will like them.  We are putting in some new redwood tubs over the coming weeks (one at a time).  The tubs will still have the same characteristic look and feel, but, we will be adding a small hand rail for people to use when entering and exiting.  

 

We are also trying to become more energy efficient.  We are adding more insulation into all of our buildings. 

 

We want to assure you that the charming ambiance and the friendly nature of the lodge hasn't changed.
