Shiva will be Saturday and Sunday night at the Goldberg's house.
Jewish Pavilion Gala - Will Go On!!
When Hank Goldberg was selected as the honoree for the Jewish Pavilion Gala, his health prognosis was not good. It was decided that he would be honored no matter what happens. Although no one wanted to honor his memory, it was clear, from the beginning that this might occur. That is why, every story and article was sent to him in advance of the gala and every tribute made in his honor was e-mailed. Hank received the recognition he deserved prior to April 10th.
Unfortunately, Hank will not be with us on April 10th. Instead, we will celebrate his life and the wonderful man he was. Please join us in honoring the "Pied Piper" of the Jewish Pavilion. All proceeds from the Gala will go toward operating "Hank's Holiday Fund." Hank knew how to make the Jewish holiday celebrations special for residents of all faiths. He was able to get someone who was practically comatose to smile. Women in wheel chairs stood up to dance with Hank. Hank knew how to get someone who was agitated to calm down and laugh. The elderly in long term care receive very little touch and Hank knew how to hug and make residents feel loved an appreciated. We all will surely miss this magnificent man.
The City of Orlando has proclaimed April 10th as
"Hank Goldberg Day"
