The team will compete in the Men's Relay Division of the Gulf Coast Triathlon being held on May 10, 2008 in Panama City, Florida.  GOCA wishes to thank Team Soul to Sole and wish them luck!

Doug Barron-Swim   Doug, a GOCA Board Member, is the son-in-law of Wendy and has witnessed, first hand, the devastation of ovarian cancer. He has experienced the passion and joy Wendy felt as a patient liaisonand is excited about the endless potential the team's efforts can make in ovarian cancer research, early detection, and an eventual cure.

David Frushtick-Bike   David is a close personal friend of the Sheron family and has competed in triathlons through out the southeast.  He welcomes the opportunity to reinforce Wendy's vision of supporting ovarian cancer causes.

Tyler Barron-Run  Tyler is the step-grandson of Wendy and the youngest member of the team.  He had a very special relationship with her and considers being part of the team a privilege and fitting manner in which to continue what she has started.

Volunteer Outreach at GOCA

Interested in helping at events?  OR maybe you would like to speak on the mission of GOCA and awareness of Ovarian Cancer.  Whether it is helping with the Walk, or in the GOCA office, we are looking for you!    GOCA is approached monthly to speak to teachers, students, bible study and attend support conferences.  Unfortuntately we do not have the people resources yet to be able to take advantage of all these opportunities.

GOCA has a volunteer training program that will prepare you for any possible speaking event, GOCA's community outreach programs and GOCA events so that you are prepared and comfortable before you speak.

If you are interested, please contact Janet Kempe at   Janet.Kempe@segogynonc.com.

We are counting on you to help spread the word 'Awareness.Knowledge.Action" for both GOCA and Ovarian Cancer!
