Campaign2010 Campaign is Full of Fun!
Modine Sausage Race
Modine ECC's Jim Peters and Debbie Seeger celebrate with the Klement's Racing Sausages.

We are always excited to see so many people coming together to focus on the greater good of the community and have some fun!

On a rainy Saturday in Union Grove, volunteers from Grove Gear ran the bouncy castle and signed up children for Imagination Library. From Sausage Races at Modine and Andis to Executive Car Washes at Twin Disc and Soak Your Supervisor at InSinkErator, folks gather to play games all on behalf of United Way.

Wii bowling tournaments at Racine Federated and a salsabration lunch with David Insurance, Carpetland USA, Express Employment Professionals and Alliant Physical Therapy are further evidence that the spirit of community is still alive in Racine County.

Our work continues, as does the campaign, with AFA, Imagination Library, YAR and all the partner providers to move forward and create opportunities in the areas of education, income and health for us all.

AFA Families Show Progress in First Year

Advancing Family Assets (AFA), a United Way of Racine County community initiative, recently completed its first year of program implementation.

With assistance from their intensely engaged Family Success Coaches and key community partners, AFA families worked hard to move into new and better jobs, reduce debt, build assets, improve credit scores, pursue and complete adult education programs, get children involved in afterschool activities, ensure healthy development of their young children, improve communication among all family members, and make positive choices for healthy living.
