SERMON THIS WEEKEND..."God's Love. The Difference"
with Pastor Adam Long

Marriages are hard. As one person jokingly said, "Marriage is like flies on a screen door. The ones on the outside are trying to get in and the ones on the inside are trying to get out." For marriages composed of two people with two distinct personalities and temperaments, add on our broken selves, add on the craziness of kids, add on some tight finances, and you get a formula for some interesting times...or sadly divorce. But as we have been learning from Song of Songs, our great lover King pursues us and redeems us. And His love can even redeem our marriages. This weekend we will be pondering on these thoughts and learning from two married couples as we interview Steve & Nicole Annest and Bill & Carol Turpin on the importance of God in their imperfect marriages. It applies to all of us.

PRAYER CLASS
March 20 -April 17. The Prayer Ministry Team will be teaching a five-week mini-course on the various ways we practice the discipline of prayer at LMCC. BIRTH OF JUDAISM: SECOND TEMPLE March 27-April 17. Sundays, 9:00-10:15 a.m., Education House. It was in this 200-year period that we find the roots of the various sects (Pharisees, Sadducees, etc.) and philosophy that will eventually interface with Jesus. By the end of this period, the prophets were silent, the High Priesthood was immensely powerful and had usurped all governing authority over the temple community and the office of Scribe had eclipsed the priesthood in influence and power. Facilitated by Bill Senyard.
