Join friends, neighbors and people around the world in a community dance by the Roeliff Jansen Kill to celebrate, learn about and protect this vital resource

To highlight the current challenges to clean water - internationally and in our area - Joan Arnold directs a community dance by the river in Ancram, on the banks of the Roeliff Jansen Kill. * Ancram is contributing to a series of dances done around the world, each locale performing at 5:00 pm their local time. For more information and a list of participating locations: Click here * Donna Barrett choreographs the opening invocation and dances with the Wild Roses Troupe, the group she directs at the Hudson Valley Academy of the Performing Arts in West Taghkanic. With dancers Aryn Kanaga, Courtney Lueck and Charlotte Hendrickson. . Joan Arnold choreographs the following sections with local dancers Maryvonne Bittner, Ellen Forman, Sheila Gowan, Catherine Gross, Anna Marcus, Michael Messing, Cara Murray, Jim Paul, Roberta Roll, Louisa Ruby and others. For the conclusion, the audience is invited to join in. * Audience will gather at the gazebo behind the Ancram Opera House at 5 pm. All will be guided down the hill to the river. Performance will happen, rain or shine. * Join us later in the evening at Project Troubador's Grove Festival, lakeside in Lakeville, CT, for music and dancing.
